Luanda — The new board of the Angolan Boxing Federation (FABOXE), led by Carlos Luís, will be sworn in on Monday afternoon, in Luanda, for a term that goes from 2012 to 2016.
In the election, which took place on December 01, Carlos Luís won the process with 18 votes against four achieved by his direct opponent, Simão Muanda.
The electorate was made up of representatives of provincial associations, clubs and boxing schools of Luanda.
The new FABOXE chairman intends to make some changes to the statutes of the institution and improve the working conditions.
Carlos Luís, who is also an international professional boxing events promoter, also pledged to make the country have a regular participation in competitions in the region and African championships, among other objectives.
The vice chair of FABOXE is occupied by Wilson Fernandes, Mfumu Nkanza and Nelma da Silva, whereas Albino da Costa Fernando is the secretary-general.
