The engineering faculty at Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology is set to benefit from a Sh400 million grant.

Presiding over a graduation ceremony last Friday, President Kibaki said the college has been identified as a beneficiary to the joint Kenya Government and African Development Bank project on enhancement of quality and relevance in higher education, Science and Technology.

Kibaki said the project will, among other things include the provision of engineering and science equipment, strengthening of human capital development in science, technology and innovation programmes, training of university staff and officers in strategic management and governance.

Yesterday, University Deputy Vice Chancellor, Finance and Administration Prof Sibilikhe Makhanu said the money will be spent towards equipping the science and engineering departments.
