Kenya: Joho to Lead ODM Team in Campaign for Cord Leaders

TRANSPORT assistant minister Hassan Joho has vowed to mobilise Coast leaders to support the Coalition for Reform and Democracy coalition. Cord brings together Prime MInister Raila Odinga-led ODM, Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka Wiper and Moses Wetangula's Ford Kenya.

The coalition formed last week has endorsed Raila as the presidential flagbearer and Kalonzo as deputy President. Trade minister Wetangula is poised to become leader of the majority.

Joho, who is the ODM the organising secretary, said the his team will aggressively sell to every corner of the region to vote for the Prime Minister Raila Odinga.

Speaking on the phone at the weekend, the assistant minister said the team's work is already cut out following the formation of Cord coalition.

Joho will lead the team consists of Fisheries ministers Amason Kingi and Dan Mwazo, Environment assistant minister Ramadhan Kajembe, MPs Mwalimu Masoud Mwahima, Omar Zonga, Gideon Mung'aro, Thomas Mwadeghu and Ben Gunda.
