Kenya: Cisco Appoints New Distributor

Cisco System has appointed Interdist Alliances as its new authorized distributor for East Africa. Cisco which designs, manufactures, and sells networking equipment, said the partnership will provide its customers with more access to technical support using the Interdist's network across East Africa.

Interdist Sales Manager Claude Croci said: "Cisco is a strategic partner for us and our new voice in East Africa will develop and enhance the existing powerful network of resellers"

He explained the new system will be performance-based, meaning that financial incentives will be given after sales are made. This is an improvement from the previous model where discounts were given upfront, which saw many resellers and distributors undercut each other for business and severely hurt margins, the Croci said.
