Kenya: Kilemi, Ciano Honoured

Mt Kenya University has honoured Education assistant minister Dr Kilemi Mwiria and Uchumi chief executive Dr Jonathan Ciano for their contribution in education and business respectively.
The two were among various individuals feted by MKU in recognition of their distinctive service and innovation during the university's fourth graduation ceremony at the Thika main campus.
Mwiria was conferred with an honorary degree for his contribution to education in Kenya and the East African region through his ublications and advocating expansion of the private university sector, among others. Ciano was awarded a doctorate of business degree for saving Uchumi from collapse.
