Kenya: Mongolo Does Not Frighten Me - Actress Millicent

Actress turned politician Millicent Mugadi has said that she is not afraid of her political rival comedian George Mwangangi "Mongolo". Millicent believes that she has more support from the county because she was born in Ziwani.

"Mongolo is part of the eight men I'm competing against. However this does not intimidate me. I was born and raised in Ziwani and there is no way the people will vote for outsiders and leave their child in the cold. I have so much support from the grassroots and I believe that I will win ,"Millicent told Word Is.

Mongolo on the other hand justified his change of mind from Pangani to Ziwani saying that he also had support in both areas.

"I did not do it because I do not believe that Millicent can be a good leader rather because I also have a lot of support from Ziwani and Kariorkor. The three; (Ziwani, Kariokor and Pangani) were previously one but when they were subdivided, I had to choose,"said Mongolo.

Mongolo further explained that he was the most experienced of all the aspirants: "I have been a nominated councilor for five years now and I beleive that I have all it takes to lead Ziwani people. My experience for the past five years has taught me a lot." Millicent and Mongolo are vying for the seats through TNA and ODM parties respectively.
