Nigeria: Kaduna Agog As Polo Actions Return

The highly anticipated 2012 Kaduna international Polo Tournament galloped off Sunday December 9 at the famous Ahmadu Yakubu Polo Club House, Murtala Mohammed Sports Complex, Kaduna; With 32 teams from various polo clubs in Nigeria on parade.

This year's event will no doubt generate more interest and pull crowd to the social city of Kaduna, the organisers of this Nigeria Polo Federation backed tournament said this year's event is expected to bring players, spectators, patrons, friends of Kaduna together from within and abroad.

Yesterday opening games has showed that this year's event will be different and more competitive

Teams from Bauchi, Kaduna , Yola, Zaria, Katsina And Abuja are ever ready to show their talented players especially at Africa's most prestigious polo trophy, the Georgian Cup.

The captain of Kaduna Polo Club Ali Hassan Hadejia revealed that "We are ready to host an accident-free tournament; a tournament that will be memorable to all the participants and fans. I call on all lovers of polo to come to Kaduna to experience the traditional hospitality of our people. We have made adequate arrangement for welfare and security of players, grooms, ponies and spectators".
