Luanda — Angola's 1º de Agosto team last Monday conquered their eighth African champion clubs cup in basketball, males category, by beating Petro de Luanda (Angola) by 80-69, in the final game that was played in Malabo, Equatorial Guinea.

The game was very balanced, with Petro de Luanda starting with more determination, even getting ahead of the score by the end of the first quarter (17-16).

The second quarter was even more balanced, with 1º de Agosto managing to lead the score in the end of this phase by 36-34.

In the last quarter 1º de Agosto's experience was put into action with the players managing to consolidate the result, until the end of the game.
