Eugene Wamalwa has dismissed reports that he will be joining either the Jubilee or Cord alliances.
The Justice Minister has said that he will go it alone in the presidential race on a Pambazuka coalition ticket. Speaking at the New Ford Kenya headquarters in Nairobi, Wamalwa has vowed not to settle for anything less than the presidency. He will however agree to drop his bid if Musalia Mudavadi wins the Jubilee presidential ticket.
Justice minister Eugene Wamalwa's New Ford-Kenya joined hands with Lugari MP Cyrus Jirongo's FPK, Nicholas Biwott's NVP, Kadu Asili and UDM formerly associated with Ruto, to form the Pambazuko coalition.
It was thought that Eugene Wamalwa would join the Cord alliance pact which was signed by Prime Minister Raila Odinga, Vice president Kalonzo Musyoka and Trade Minister Moses Wetangula last Tuesday at the KICC. Wamalwa did not however attend the event.
Wamalwa left the Uhuru Kenyatta's and William Ruto's G7 Alliance just days before the December 4 deadline for registering coalitions. He alleged he was being mistreated unfairly by the other partners in the alliance.
