Gambia: Bansang to Be New Host of NAYCONF

It has been announced that Bansang town in the Central River Region (CRR) will now be the new venue for the Biennial National Youth Conference and Festival (NAYCONF) which was earlier scheduled to take place in Janjangbureh from the 14-22 December 2012.

This was according to a release issued by the National Organising Committee (NOC) of the National Youth Council (NYC) which stated that the event has been postponed till further notice in order to allow the Local Organising Committee in CRR to work on necessary logistics.

This national youth event is celebrated every two (2) years and is meant as a forum that brings together young people and stakeholders from around the country to discuss issues and share ideas that concern and benefit them and to partake in sports and cultural activities.

The release concluded that the NOC is apologizing for any inconvenience that this postponement might have caused to the participating regions and organizations.
