Nigeria: Oxfam Pumps N1.3 Billion Into Poverty Alleviation

Oxfam has earmarked 5 million euros (equivalent N1.30 billion) into its various poverty alleviation programmes in Nigeria, the organisation's Country Director Chichi Okoye said yesterday.

Addressing newsmen on the 'Go Live' event to mark the merger of Oxfam Great Britain , Oxfam Novib of Netherlands and other 17 affiliates in over 98 countries held in Abuja, Okoye said the organisation has developed a System Management Structure (SMS) to empower people to work their way out of poverty.
