Nigeria: Corps Member Builds N3.9 Million Healthcare Centre in Kwali

A corps member, Dr. Okeke Kanayo, has executed a N3.9 million healthcare centre project for the people of Fuka community in Kwaili Area Council.

Speaking in an interview, Kanayo said he noticed that the community was cut off from other communities so he decided to execute the project there to enhance easy access to quality healthcare services for residents of the community.

"I got to know Fuka community when I went for a medical outreach in a neigbouring community shortly after our NYSC orientation program.

Having heard about the community, I decided to pay a visit and in the course of my movement, I discovered that the community is completely cut off following the collapse of a long bridge connecting it to other communities.

It was then I realised that organising medical outreach will not address the problem of the people so I came up with a proposal to build a healthcare centre in the community," he said
