Luanda — The Spanish minister of Foreign Affairs, José Manuel García-Margallo, arrived last Tuesday in Luanda for a three-day official visit, in the ambit of the reinforcement of the bilateral co-operation.
José Manuel García-Margallo, who is accompanied by Spain's minister of Development, Ana Pastor, was welcomed at the 4 de Fevereiro International Airport by the Angolan ambassador to Spain, Victor Lima, as well as by the Spanish ambassador to Angola, Alicia Olmo.
During her stay in Luanda, the Spanish minister will carry out several activities, with highlight on an audience with the Angolan Head of State, José Eduardo dos Santos.
According to the visit programme, the Spanish Foreign minister is to hold meetings with his Angolan counterpart, Georges Chicoty, Finance minister, Carlos Alberto Lopes, and the CEO of the public oil company National Fuel Society (Sonangol), Francisco de Lemos José Maria.
José Manuel García-Margallo is also to hold a meeting with the Spanish community in Angola, as well as gather with entrepreneurs residing in this country.
Before returning home, the Spanish Foreign Affairs minister is to give a press conference.
