Tunisia: A Draft Agreement On Cancelling General Strike to Be Announced Later - Prime Ministry

Tunis — The government and the Trade Union reached a draft agreement to cancel the general strike decided for next Thursday which will be announced later, said on Tuesday evening the Prime Ministry.

The delegation representing the government includes Interior Minister Ali Larayedh, Agriculture Minister Mohamed Ben Salem, Social Affairs Minister Khalil Zaouia, Public Health Minister Abdellatif Mekki as well as Advisers to the Prime Minister in charge of Political and Social Affairs Lotfi Zitoun and Habib Kchaou respectively.

The delegation of the Tunisian General Labour Union (UGTT) includes deputy Secretary-Generals Noureddine Taboubi in charge of interior rule, Kamel Saad in charge of public entreprises, Mohamed Mselmi in charge of training and union guidance, Belgacem Ayari in charge of the private sector and Hfaiedh Hfaiedh in charge of civil service.
