Uganda: Star Trail - Afrigo's Rachel Magoola for MP

Afrigo band's Rachel Magoola has finally tossed her hat in the ring by expressing interest to contest for Woman Member of Parliament for Iganga district in the 2016 elections.

The Woman MP for Iganga currently is Olivia Kabaale Kwagala. Kwagala trounced Rachel Magoola's mother, Zirabamuzaale Magoola who was also former State Minister for Luweero.

But the Obangaina singer says Kwagala has "miserably failed" to deliver to the people's expectations compared to what her mother did -the reason she has offered herself for 2016. So she thinks leadership is in the genes? Hmm, Good luck.

Radio and Weasel rock lawyers' dinner

The Uganda Law Society held their annual dinner over the weekend at Sheraton hotel. The crème de la crème of Uganda's law fraternity was present - in suits of course. With so many events taking place at the hotel, many were seen in different lobbies trying to find their way to the Ball room.

The Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago in his brown suit, managed to find his way after asking the girls who were ushering at the opening of the Nile's Diaspora International Film festival that was also taking place there.

Star Trail trailed the Goodlyfe duo as they made their way into the hotel, heading into the lawyers'party. While they seem so serious in their expensive suits and use difficult Latin words like in flagrante delicto, the lawyers do know how to have a blast!

Sebunjo signs deal with Diezel

Joel Sebunjo is all smiles after putting pen to paper with clothing company Diezel. Sebunjo, the world music ambassador, told everyone who cared to listen about the good news last week that the deal is worth a handsome fee and his life was never going to be the same. Sebunjo will be tasked with promoting the products of the company on his various tours and concerts.

Chameleone disappoints, again

He might be Uganda's number one, but in reality, he has no friend. After going around all radios announcing Papa Cidy's album launch, the lanky singer disappeared, claiming that he was in Dubai. And even when he appeared (did he take a supersonic flight from Dubai?), he demanded for Shs 3m to appear on stage.

Not to mention that he organized a parallel show at Lido beach on the same day Papa Cidy was supposed to be at Hotel Explorer. Both venues being along Entebbe road, people thought he was not fair to his upstage his partner.

I don't eat pork - Bebe Cool

After getting into redouble at Maam Rhoda's hideout, a place only known for serving pork in Nakulabye, Bebe Cool is now trying to clean his image. While at Maama Rhoda's joint, Bebe exchanged bitter words with the owner and they had a fight that left his Hummer damaged.

"I want to clear the air by correcting whoever is saying that I eat pork. No I'm a Muslim and so I don't eat that thing. I go to Nakulabye to eat chicken luwombo and to also dine with fans; so, if you insist that I do eat pork like these pigs Hajara, Shatra, Musa then you are a pig yourself... kaba kamwako," reads his defence on his Facebook wall.
