Gambia: Old Jeshwang Health Centre Boosted

Two Swedish philanthropists on Monday donated clothing materials for babies and mothers, as well as toys, worth D50, 000.00 to the Ardingly-Old Jeshwang Association Health Centre at a presentation ceremony held at the hospital grounds.

Speaking at the presentation ceremony, Isatou Ceesay, the matron of the health centre, thanked the donors for the gesture. She assured them that the donated items would be put into good use.

The donors, Hana Hugman and Kamila Jallow, both Swedish nationals, said they came to know about the health centre through one Fatoumatta Coker-Jallow who helped them facilitate the shipment of the items.

Delivering the vote of thanks, Mustapha Dumbuya, a nurse at the health centre, also thanked the donors for their support. He assured them that the donated items would be used for its intended purpose.

Haddijatou Semega-Janneh, a daughter to Fatoumatta Coker-Jallow and Mary Mbye-Coker,both expressed similar sentiments.
