Nigeria: Senate Rejects Management Accountants Institute Bill

The bill, sponsored by Senate Leader Victor Ndoma-Egba and Senator Aloysius Etok, was aimed at establishing the institute to enable it control its membership as well as promote the practice of the arts and science of management accounting in Nigeria.

Ndoma-Egba in his lead debate recalled that "the sixth Senate on November 4, 2010 passed this same bill. Now, the House of Representatives has passed it and wants our concurrence. It is the same with the Senate Bill sponsored by Senator Etok."
