Angola: Official Eyes Construction of Running Tracks for Benguela and Huila

Luanda — The Secretary of State for Sports, Albino da Conceição, on Tuesday here said that he hopes that under the 2013 public investment of the state budget to be reserved to the ministry an amount that enables the construction of running tracks in the provinces of Benguela and Huila, Angop has learnt.

Speaking after an audience with the US retired sprinter Michale Jacson, the secretary of state reminded that Tafe stadium in Cabinda province has already a track and the goal is to empower this sport, taking into account the coming olympic cycles.

Michael Jonson is in the country since Monday to seek partnerships of developing the athletics in Angola.

Commenting on this matter, the state secretary said that the country is open to partnerships.
