Angola: State Secretary Highlights Armed Force's Logistics Role

Huambo — The role of logistics in the Angolan Armed Forces (FAA)in assisting the troops was highlighted on Tuesday in Huambo City by the state Secretary formaterial resources and infrastructures of the Defence Ministry, general Salviano de Jesus Sequeira, ANGOP has learnt.

The official was speaking at the opening of the 6th methodological meeting of experts on logistical with the staff of FAA, having considered as very important the work done by the logistics units.

He said that throughout the armed conflict, the logistical units accompanied all the operational manouvres, thus having been important in the achievement of peace on April 04, 2002.

The general also said that military logistics must be considered a part of the military art, as it has the power of attending to the needs of the operational systems.
