Egypt: Administrative Court - Referendum Not Subject to Judicial Supervision

The State Council's Administrative Court ruled on Tuesday 11/12/2012 that it is not in its jurisdiction to look into a lawsuit asking for canceling President Mohamed Morsi's call for a referendum on Egypt's new constitution.

The Court said that the call for the referendum, which is to take place on Saturday, falls into the President's powers and is immunized from judicial oversight.
