Eritrea: Families of Martyrs in Asmat Sub-Zone Laud the Support Being Extended to Them By the Government and Nationals

Asmat — The families of martyrs in Asmat sub-zone lauded the financial and material support being extended to them on the part of the government and nationals, and said that their livelihood is improving.

They further expressed conviction that such support attests to the upholding of Eritrean cultural values and a spirit of readiness to honor the trust of fallen heroes.

Among the beneficiaries, Mr. Adem Idris, Ms. Halima Mohammed-Ali, Mr. Osman Idris and Ms. Fatina Seid voiced satisfaction with the support, and indicated that they are in a position to improve their livelihood on the basis of it.

Mr. Saleh Idris Humed, head of the Ministry of Labor and Human Welfare's branch in the locality, explained that 2.5 million Nakfa has been paid this year in benefit scheme to 458 families. Furthermore, he pointed out that the payments were made in closer stations so as to avoid loss of time and energy on the part of beneficiaries.

Besides, a total of 99,000 Nakfa donated by nationals residing abroad has been paid to the concerned families, besides the rehabilitation of more families of martyrs in livestock worth 163, 000 Nakfa.
