Tanzania: Bank Raffle Awards Ten Customers

TEN customers have won various gifts of the Bank of Africa Tanzania's 'Grow your Deposit and Win' draw competition. The winners were obtained from 412 clients who participated in the competition.

The Head of Retail Banking, Ms Mwanahiba Mzee played the draw in Dar es Salaam. "There were many who qualified into this draw, but we have got ten of them for today," she said, adding that winners came from two categories -- retail and entrepreneurial companies.

She named winners as Jamshaid Ahmad who won I-Phone 4s, Claud Mbilinyi won Blackberry, Shem Barankena won a 300,000/- voucher to refuel the car fuel, Jeremie Penzin won a super market voucher, Nurali A.L and Munira S.H won a Spa voucher and Fredy Mwanga won a dinner voucher at Alcove.

Others who emerged winners are Mtoni Lutheran Church Saccos, Peter Lutego, Leonard Mkonyi and Valerii Makukha, each of whom won a gift Hamper. Ms Mzee said it was necessary for retail customers to have a balance of at least 1m/- and should have deposited 3m/- within a month to qualify for the competition.

Small and Medium Enterprises companies were required to have a balance of not less than 50m/- in the account and deposit 100m/- within a month. She urged the bank's customers to continue participating in these initiatives that seek to reward them for their savings.

She said that the bank will soon launch new and exciting retail packages that will seek to make their customers enjoy exemplary services, increase their annual savings and enjoy a wide array of benefits on their accounts. An official from the Gaming Board of Tanzania, Ms Chiku Saleh said the draw was a success and the winners deserved what they got.
