Tunisia: 'Box Found in Bus in Kairouan Is Harmless,' Says Interior Ministry

Tunis — "The box found, on Tuesday, in the trunk of a Kairouan Regional Transport Company bus is harmless," Interior Ministry experts said, on Wednesday.

"Devoid of any explosive material, the 10-by-20-cm cardboard contains a small box, four small plastic bags full of petrol, electrical wires connected to two batteries of 4.5 volts and a clock," the Interior Ministry specifies in a communiqué.

Investigations are underway, the same source points out.
