NECO Registrar Professor Promise Okpala stated this yesterday at a media parley in Minna. He, however, noted that the best the exam body could do was to thwart the fraudsters' ability to copy the original certificates perfectly.
Referring to a recent incident where three staff of the agency were arrested by the State Security Service (SSS) for issuing fake certificates, Okpala said they have since been prosecuted.
He said it would now be difficult for fraudsters to forge NECO's current certificates because of the security features.
"We have 15 security devices on our certificates. It is easier to forge the currency than our certificates," he said.
