West Africa: Mahama Urges Jonathan to Resuscitate West Africa Gas Pipeline

Ghanaian President John Dramane Mahama has appealed to President Goodluck Jonathan to expedite action on the resuscitation of the West Africa gas pipeline so that his country can continue to tap into it to power its industries.

President Jonathan had interrupted the weekly Federal Executive Council (FEC) to receive his guest, the Ghanaian President. He was accompanied by Vice President Namadi Sambo, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Senator Anyim Pius Anyim, Minister of State for Power, Hajiya Zainab Ibrahim Kuchi and other presidential aides.

Mahama made the plea when he paid a courtesy visit to Jonathan at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

President Mahama was re-elected into office last Friday.
