Gambia: Club Rebuts Rumours On Melez

As window for players' transfer nears on, twists and turns continued unabated with speculation and rumours rifed; Real De Banjul striker Buba Jallow-Melez.

The Gambia ex-U-17 and U-20 ace is on trial with an unnamed Spanish club and rumours make waves that the former Samger forward has absconded after a failed trial.

Reacting to the reports, Willy Abraham, Real de Banjul president throw light on the issue.

"Melez has gone for trials and he will be back" Willy Abraham said.

The attacker has represented Gambia at cadet level and was pivotal in the U-20 victory over Sierra Leone during the qualifiers coming on as a substitute.

His success was short-lived when Coach Lamin Sarr axed him in a trimming of big casualties - a decision that provoked debate for pundits and fury among the player's teeming fans.
