Nigerians Urged to Care for Indigents

Nigerians have been urged to spare a thought for the vulnerable members of our society, especially those with one form of disability or the other. This advised was given by Dr. Asabe Shehu Yar'Adua, founder/President, Asabe Shehu Yar'Adua Foundation in a statement to commemorate the United Nations International Day of Persons Living with Disabilities in Abuja.

He said, "I find it increasingly unbearable the pains, agonies and sorrow being inflicted on many families by communal clashes, ethno-religious violence, banditry and other violent crimes in a lot of communities. It beats my imagination the frequent resort to self-help by many in some instances with the attendant human casualties. I am deeply worried by the vulnerable persons, who have suffered varying forms of human degradation as a result of many unavoidable clashes.
