Egypt: Nation Win Unaf U-19 Tournament
12 December 2012
Egypt was awarded the UNAF U-19 tournament title after a technical meeting, the UNAF announced Tuesday (December 11th). Egypt topped group B standings with six points, while Algeria's A team lead Group A with three points. The decision was made in Egypt's favour because they were the only team to acquire six points during the tournament.
The teams would have played for the title but the rules prevent the match from taking place because both already qualified for the African Cup of Nations. Algeria will face Morocco for second place on Thursday.
