Kenya: Cheptil Eye Top Soya Award After Placing Third This Year

EAST Africa secondary school volleyball boys' champions Cheptil are eyeing top award in the SOYA school awards next year.

Cheptil who placed third in the schools category were placed third, behind St. Anthony High and Kakamega High School.

Malava Girls scooped top award in the girls category after calling the shots at both the national and regional level. Cheptil School's principal Cheruiyot Barno said the award has motivated the teams to train even harder.

"We are very happy after emerging among the best and this has motivated us to seek even bigger things next year. We want to win top awards in both boys and girls schools categories," Barno said. He said they have already kicked off their preparation for next season and promised better results.
