Defending champions Lamin is out of the GFA super nawettan after losing 1-0 to Serrekunda West on Tuesday at game played at the SK West Park. The game was well attended by fans of both teams who turn up to cheer their different teams.
The game began with an exciting display by both teams creating clear chance but it was SK West boys that struck back of the net courtesy of Mustapha Jatta's in the 23th minutes through a wonderful shot from 30 yards.
The Defending champions Lamin who played four games without a victory proved deadly on the offensive but could not penetrate the defense line of SK West. Lamin could have equalize in the 79th Minutes but Lamin Fofana shot went wild.
Speaking to reporters in a post-match interview, Badou Ceesay, head coach of SK West expressed delight at the performance of his team. According to him, he approach the game with new tactics and new players.
On his part, visibly disappointed Lamin coach, Mailu Sarr however commends his boys for the good performance despite losing the game and failing to retain its title. Meanwhile the race continues for the title continues.
