Egypt: ESE Gains LE 9.7 Billion

The Egyptian Stock Exchange (ESE) gained LE 9.7 billion at the closing of trading on Wednesday 12/12/2012 due to Arab and foreign investors' purchases.

The benchmark 30 index went up by 2.83 per cent to close at 5,158.38 points.

The broader EGX 70 index of the leading smaller and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) also went up 3.99 per cent, reaching 457.67 points.

The overall EGX 100 index was up by 3.48 per cent to close at 767.63 points.
