Ghana: Ministers Directed to Prepare Handing Over Notes

The Vice President and Chairman of the Transition Team, KwesiBekoeAmissah-Arthur, has directed all Ministers of State to begin preparing their handing over notes in compliance with provisions of the Presidential (Transitions) Act of 2013, Act 845.

A statement signed by Minister for Information, Fritz Baffuor, said the directive follows the inaugural meeting of the Transition Team in Accra this morning. A deadline for the submission of these notes will be announced after the next meeting of the Team on Friday December 14, 2012.

President John DramaniMahama on Wednesday inaugurated the 24-member Transition Team chaired by the Vice President.

They are required to, among others, make comprehensive practical arrangements to regulate the transfer of political administration to the new administration that will be sworn in on January 07, 2013.
