Eritrea: Inhabitants of Bada Playing Crucial Role in Fostering Participation of Children in Education - Report

Gel'alo — A number of inhabitants of Bada area, Gel'alo sub-zone, indicated that the role of the community has become crucial role in fostering the participation of children in education. The trend of school registration at elementary and junior level is reportedly on the rise.

Among the students, Abdu Osman and Sherifa Mohammed voiced satisfaction with the availability of educational facility in the locality, and lauded the role of parents in their scholastic life.

Hassan Omar, a teacher, called on parents to sustain their participation in endeavors to enhance the impact of education in rural areas.

Mr. Ahmed Osman, director of the Junior and Elementary school in Bada, asserted that the community's awareness as regards education is growing.
