Kenya: Samsung Launches Digital TV

Samsung Electronics East Africa has unveiled the Samsung ES 5600K model, which is the first TV in the local market with an inbuilt digital receiver. The TV set has a DVB-T2 digital receiver a model which has received approval from the Communication Commission of Kenya.

The TV does not require a set top box to receive digital free to air programmes and is available in 32", 40" and 46" screen sizes. It is available at all leading Samsung authorised dealers and retail outlets

"Samsung, understands the African consumers' needs and wants which inspire us to design and market products that meet such demands", said Samsung general manager Allan Oyier.
