Kenya: Too Many Household With Illegal Firearms

There are more than 600 000 firearms in the wrong hands in Kenya.

Between 170 Thousand and 200 thousand household have illegal firearms due to porous borders. Internal security assistant Minister Alfred Khangati says the government is at the moment carrying out a disarmament program. Khangati says a policy on small arms has been drawn and awaits cabinet approval.
