Nigeria: UK's Dfid Donates N3bn Drugs to Kano Hospitals

The United Kingdom's Department for International Development (DFID/PATHS 2) has assisted 347 hospitals in Kano with drugs worth £13m (about N3 billion) from 2007 to 2012, apart from the training and re-training of health workers across the state.

The agency's support are part of the efforts being put in place by the state government in sanitizing drug administration in the state.

A Representative of DFID, Pharmacist Abdulsalam Auwalu, disclosed this on Thursday at a Stakeholders Forum organized by the National Association of Industrial Pharmacists (NAIP), in collaboration with the Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria (PSN).
