Nigeria: Malaria - Sokoto to Get 2.5 Million Treated Nets

Sokoto — USAID representative, Dr.John Quinely, disclosed this when he led a team on a visit to Governor Aliyu Wamakko. He said treated nets are highly effective against malaria, adding that everyone in the state should be able to benefit from the gesture.

Dr Quinely said USAID hopes to assist the state in that area and in the training of midwives.

In his remarks, Governor Aliyu Wamakko, said the state is ready to partner any agency in the provision of qualitative healthcare service to the people. Wamakko expressed appreciation to the team for the gesture.
