Nigeria: 'Take-Over of Schools by FG Responsible for Decadence in Education Sector'

Ado-Ekiti — The lawyer, who is also founder of the Afe Babalola University, Ado-Ekiti, said government should hands off running of schools, as according to him, it has no business investing in the sector.

Speaking at the foundation laying ceremony of an ultra modern administrative office of the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA), Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State, Babalola said decadence in the education sector started immediately the government took over running of schools from the missionaries.
