Uganda: Alupo Steps in to Resolve FUFA-USL Football Impasse

In a show of resolve, Jessica Alupo the Minister of Education and Sports declared that come December 31, the country must have one united Super League running. In a meeting involving representatives of the Uganda Super League (Kavuma Kabenge) and Fufa (Lawrence Mulindwa), Alupo made her ruling candidly.

"We must have one league, which you people must agree on together. But that must be the league that has the sponsors," Alupo insisted. This all happened in the minister's office on December 13 in the presence of the sponsors too, Bell and SuperSport.
