Mauritania: Nation Reaffirms Mali Position

Mauritania will not take part in the armed conflict in northern Mali, except in the case of aggression against its territory and people, ANI quoted Mauritanian Defence Minister Ahmedou Ould Idey Ould Mohamed Radhi as saying on Thursday (December 13th).

The position was set by President Mohamed Ould Abdel Aziz in late November, when he stated Mauritania would not send troops to Mali but remained committed to combating terrorism.
