Gambia: Bakau Edge Out Gunjur

The Bakau zonal team on Wednesday beat Gunjur 2-1 at the Serrekunda West Football Park in the ongoing GFA Super Nawettan championship.

The game began with excellent and skillful display of football by both teams, but Gunjur striker Dominique Demba was red carded in the 12th minute. It worked to Bakau's advantage as they scored 12 minutes later after Sulayman Sanyang was put through by Modou Janneh'scross.

The second half started with Bakau creating a couple of chances on goal which resulted to a penalty that was converted by Ousman Manneh in the 52nd minute.Gunjur got their only goal in the 68th minute courtesy of a Musa Ndong effort.
