Gambia: Rising Artiste Seeks Sponsorship

Lucky Child- as his music sobriquet goes, is no doubt another rising star working hard to make a name for himself in the country's music scene. Born Ismaila Jammeh in Lamin town, he attended St. Peter's Primary and Junior Secondary School.

Starting his musical career way back in 2008, Lucky Child entered the music scene as a reggae dancehall and has released numerous singles among them are 'Jah Protect', 'Humanity Culture' among others. The rising sensation is currently working day in day out to release his masterpiece album.

In an interview with What's On, the 19-year-old revealed that to him music is not that hard to do and that his talent is a natural gift. According to him, he has many new singles in hand but lacks of financial support to undertake more meaningful electrifying project is his main obstacles.

Lucky Child therefore appealed for a sponsorship from the government, NGOs, philanthropists, individuals to come to his aid to enable him release his album in town.
