A prosecution witness in the trial of Senator Mohammed Ali Ndume yesterday contradicted himself when he read to the court an International Mobile Equipment Identity (IMEI) number of a mobile phone which belongs to Ndume that was different from the digits he gave when he testified on Tuesday.
The witness, Aliyu Usman, a forensic examiner attached to the State Security Service (SSS), on Tuesday told the court that the last four digits of the Nokia E7 ended with 3050, but when asked to read out the IMEI yesterday, Usman confirmed that the last four digits were 3055.
