Nigeria's Supersand Eagles defeated Argentina 5-0 at the Copa Beach Soccer Worldwide on the sand of the Eko Atlantic Beach Soccer Stadium yesterday.
It was a one-way game with Victor Tale opening score in four seconds with a good fortune off a deflection to put Nigeria 1-0 up.
Hector Petrasso's team found Tale difficult to keep at bay as he continued to cause them all sorts of trouble by coming close on two scoring occasions including an overhead kick from close range.
And within three minutes, Kwara United new boy, Abu Azeez put Nigeria 2-0 up after making space for himself to side-foot past Argentina goalkeeper, Cesar Mendoza.
Supersand Eagles' captain, Isiaka Olawale wrapped his left foot round the ball to give Nigeria a 3-0 lead after the combination of the Hilaire brothers, Santiago and Ezequiel failed to produce a goal at the other end seconds earlier.
Minutes later, Emmanuel Ewhoferia's thumping free kick beat Mendoza with a wicked bubble to give Nigeria a comfortable 4-0 lead.
In the last minute of the second period, Mendoza and Ezequiel combined to block out Ikechukwu Ibenegbu's shot before Ogbonnaya Okemmiri's screamer nestled in the top corner leaving the Argentine keeper with no chance.
