The national soccer federation FUFA has urged Ugandans interested in travelling to Brazil for next year's FIFA Confederations Cup to start applying for tickets.
The tickets have been sent to Kampala by the world body FIFA.
One has to part with at least $80 sh216,000 for the opening match while the final will go for $220 (sh594,000).
The Confederations Cup traditionally sets the stage for the FIFA World Cup in the country where the latter is also held.
Soccer's premier event -- World Cup -- will be held in 2014.
FUFA's head of media Rogers Mulindwa called upon fans to come forward for the tickets.
"We are asking Ugandans interested in watching the matches to come and get accreditation," Mulindwa stated yesterday.
"We are going to start dealing with accreditation starting on Monday."
Mulindwa said accreditation is necessary because it has terms and conditions that must be fulfilled by the applicants before tickets are issued.
