Ethiopia: Pacemaker

The 2012 CBE Great Ethiopian Run was held on Sunday 25th November 2012. There were 36, 000 participants in the 12th edition.

Introduced in 2001, it has now become a fixture on the domestic sporting calendar and is able to stage 10 races a year. About 80 races, including children's races & Ambassadors races, have been staged inEthiopiasince.Africa's biggest road race is now turning into a tourist attraction, and around 1,500 people from abroad have since participated.

A Ferenji, participant of the 2012 CBE Great Ethiopian Run, can be seen tied to his dog, that is acting as his pacemaker.
