Rwanda: Youth V-Ball Team in Preps for CAVB Zone V Qualifiers

THE national youth boys' volleyball team kicked off preparations for the upcoming CAVB zone V qualifiers set to be held in Kigali from January 12, 2013.

The team under the tutelage of Jean Marie Nsengiyumva started preparations at Amahoro Indoor Stadium mid this week with a provisional 19-man squad.

Rwanda will host both the youth boys and girls Zone V championships with Nsengiyumba being in charge of boys' team while Paul Bitok will handle the girls' team which is currently holding its preparations at Groupe Scolaire de Butare.

"We need to have a good side which will compete at the top level and I will do all I can so that the team can win the tournament. We have good players and all we need is to give them guidance such that they can be in good shape ready for the championship," added Nsengiyumva.

Provisional squad: R. Nshimiyimana, Jean Claude Ndacyayisenga, Sylvestre Ndayisaba, Fabrice Rugina, Dieudonné Hategekimana, Hardi Rurangirwa, Jean Bosco Hishamunda, Theogene Nkotanyi, Protogene Habumugisha Jean Luc, Rutayisire, Olivier Karangwa, Samuel Niyogisubizo, Patrick Ruzindana, Rene Claude Kigesa, Jean Paul Sibomana, G. Oreste Muhirwa, Gideon Mutabazi, Isaak Iradukunda and Paul Hakizayezu.
