Ethiopian CEO Wins African CEO of the Year Award

Ethiopian Airlines Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Tewolde Gebremariam has been awarded African CEO of the Year from the African CEO Forum 2012 held in Geneva on November 20, 2012.

Three other companies also won in different categories for their commitment and accomplishments in four key areas including promotion ofAfrica's private sector, strengthening regional integration, development of intra-African trade and social and environmental responsibility. Organised under the auspices of the African Development Bank (AfDB) and Groupe Jeune Afrique, the Africa CEO Awards includes four categories.

Ethiopian CEO was given the African CEO of the Year Award whose specific category includes vision and leadership, pan-African scope of the strategy employed, type of modern governance and financial transparency and quality of social, human and environmental policy.
