Rwanda: Gahongaire Set for East African Tour

Renowned local gospel singer, Aline Gahongaire, is currently working on a project that will see her travel around countries across the East African region early next year. This, she says, is in an effort to promote her music.

According to the singer, the tour will also help her garner the necessary publicity as she looks forward to the launch of her next album. Gahongaire told The Sunday Times that she has already finished recording two albums, which she hopes to release pretty soon.

In her own words: "I am certain this tour will cultivate more fans for me and also help me get the exposure I very much need as I will be able to meet and mingle with other prominent musicians from across the region."

Her forthcoming album is loaded with some Kiswahili tunes, which she hopes will help her penetrate the East African region as Swahili is the most widely spoken language in the region.

Some of her new songs such as Nime Kuwona, Number Moja and I love the Way are already receiving ample airplay on most local radio stations.
