Eritrea: Inhabitants of Dequi-Tsun'a Express Satisfaction With Potable Water Provision

Dubarwa — The inhabitants of Dequi-Tsun'a, Dubarwa sub-zone, expressed that with the provision of potable water their health is being ensured and are leading stable life.

Ms. Ti'ebe Kidane explained that they have been in the past suffering from waterborne diseases and that to date thanks to the effort on the part of the Government and people they have been able to get clean water in their backyard.

Ms. Teke'a Tekle, who has been assigned to supervise the water distribution center, on her part indicated that the inhabitants have been in the past in big problem due to lack of clean water and that currently they are leading a stable life.

Mr. Asmelash Tekle, administrator of Dequi-Tsun'a administrative area, also expressed that the inhabitants are judiciously using the water project that was implemented in April 2012 and since then they have not encountered any problem.

The project includes five water distributions centers, one big reservoir, one water well working with solar system and 3.6 km long water pipe line.
